Zach Cregger is an American comedian and actor best known for being part of the sketch comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know and for writing, directing and starring in the film Miss March.

Early life[]

Zach (full name Zachary Michael Cregger) was born on March 1, 1980 in Arlington, Virginia. He grew up with three brothers - Jake, Sam and Dean. When Zach was in high school, he was part of an improv comedy troupe called The Nation of Improv.

In 2004 he graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Art.

Career[]

Zach's first on-screen role was in the police procedural Homicide: Life on the Street in 1998. He appears as Dean Stamper in the second episode of the seventh season, titled Brotherly Love.

He met Trevor Moore and Sam Brown in a general housing dorm just after they decided to start their own sketch group. The trio wrote many early sketches.

After leaving the SVA, he produced Uncle Morty's Dub Shack, a series on ImaginAsian TV that dubbed over Asian movies of typically bad quality. Trevor also worked on the show as a writer, and Sam as a producer at the network itself.

Zach plays Cooper in the 2008 film College.

In 2009, he and Trevor wrote, directed and starred in the film Miss March.

On August 5, 2011, the sitcom Friends With Benefits began airing on NBC. Zach's role is Aaron Greenway.

Personal life[]

On October 27, 2019, Cregger married Sara Paxton.

Trivia[]

  • Despises the name 'The Whitest Kids U' Know'. According to an IFC interview, he wasn't around when the troupe decided on it.
  • Likes it when Timmy gets hurt while performing/shooting a sketch (for instance in Timmy Future).
  • Zach was the last person to see Trevor Moore alive. They were streaming their Newsboyz episode on August 6th, 2021; the episode ended two hours before Trevor died (early morning hours of August 7th). On the WKUK steam on August 20th (Self Suck Saturday episode "Sad Sack Saturday"), Zach revealed that they haven't uploaded that video. Not because of the morbid nature of the video's context but due to the fact Zach said some dumb things about someone in showbusiness. He has confirmed that they'll upload that final Newsboyz after they get the mods to remove that one section from the stream.
  • In the WKUK Twitch stream "Sad Suck Saturday" which they talk about Trevor's death, Zach revealed that he called Darren to inform him of Trevor's death.
  • Zach has an upcoming horror film featuring Justin Long and Bill Skarsgård. Scenes of the film were shot in Bulgaria.
